with over 10 years in Academic Research and 16 in High-Tech Software Industry.
As Gene-IT’s CEO, he acquired strong experience in management, fund raising and business processes.
As GenomeQuest CSO, he managed R&D teams overseas, and built leading edge Software platforms for IP and NGS HPC.
Jean-Jacques holds a PhD in Computer Science from INRIA. He received the IBM intensive computing award for the physical mapping of the Human Genome, and is featuring in many journals in Computer Science and Genomics, including Nature and Cell.

Andrzej Wozniak - COO and CTO
Andrzej has a master degree in Electronics and Computer Science from Warsaw University of Technology.
Previously Chief Software Architect of GenomeQuest, he made Biofacet a commercial engine that goes fast and never breaks, best package ever in NGS.
Andrzej has been instrumental in many industrial computer-architecture projects. He holds several EU and US patents in computer architecture, from image encoding to the chip-interconnect of the Bull S.A. TERA10 supercomputer.
Always delivering premium solutions, his publication on the Smith Waterman implementation using video-oriented instruction sets inspired many designs actually found in GPUs.

Eric Viara - Vice-President of Services
Graduated of Télécom ParisTech, Eric is specialized in databases, object oriented technologies, software architecture and graphical user interfaces. He is the chief developer and architect of the Open Source ODBMS EyeDB, the underlying storage manager of Biofacet Engine query language.
He has worked as a chief architect and project manager in a large number of advanced projects in molecular biology, featuring in many publications with prestigious research or medical teams such as Institut Curie or Orphanet.
Eric is SYSRA CEO since its creation in 1993.
